2020
- The Providing Broadband Access to Rural Settlements of the Republic of Kazakhstan through Fiber-Optic Communication Lines Project has been completed under the Digital Kazakhstan 2020 State Program to connect 429 rural settlements to broadband Internet access.
- Transtelecom JSC is one of the largest companies that has implemented a project for the construction of buildings for data processing centers with an infrastructure of information resources for a client in Karaganda, Kyzylorda, Aktau, Atyrau, Aktobe, Oral and Zhezkazgan.
- To improve Transtelecom JSC's business efficiency and successfully overcome new market challenges, a new organisational structure was introduced in 2020. The proposed design is based on the methodology of change management of the Adizes Institute. It is built so that it can quickly respond to changes in the external environment and innovations and aim to accumulate unique competencies.
2021
- Unit Telecom LLP was recognized as the official owner of 75% of the block of shares minus one share of Transtelecom JSC.
- Transtelecom JSC joined the Union of Oil Service Companies of Kazakhstan.
2022
- TTC expanded the list of partner universities by signing memorandums with 20 educational institutions, including S. Demirel University, Astana IT University, Turan – Astana, Safi Utebayev Atyrau University of Oil and Gas.
- Plug and Play, Transtelecom JSC and Astana Hub announced the start of applications from Kazakhstani startups. Priority was given to 5G projects and cloud solutions, cybersecurity, blockchain technologies, Web3, artificial intelligence and business process automation.
- TTC launched a new application TTC TV. Subscribers were able to watch their favorite programs anytime and anywhere.
- Transtelecom JSC successfully passed the full cycle of Design Documents design review and received the Tier III Design Documents certificate. It confirms that the infrastructure of data centers fully complies with international requirements.
2023
- A new cloud platform for business, Public Cloud, was launched, which will allow IT companies to independently use the resources of the TTS cloud infrastructure.
- The construction of a Data Processing Center (DPC) for 200 IT racks in Astana has been successfully completed to accommodate government electronic services, the main task of which is to ensure stable, trouble-free and secure operation of IT resources for government electronic services.
- The project with British Telecom on inclusion of three channels in the direction of Almaty – Tashkent was launched in the market of Uzbekistan, as well as an upgrade of transit capacity is planned.
- Projects were implemented to provide services in the educational sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan, such services as “FoodCard”, “E-HUB” and “Comfortable Schools”.
- According to the results of the study of employer brand perception by The Talentist, conducted by an independent research company, Transtelecom JSC took the first place in the segment of telecommunication services.
2024
- The wireless network equipment was modernised in the main office of NC KTZ JSC using the Huawei equipment, which serves 6,000 users. The corporate network in Kazakhstan was the first to implement WiFi 6 (802.11ax) with the most recent WPA 3 security protocol.
- A project for the lease of communication channels for NC KTZ JSC was successfully implemented, which included the implementation of a new service known as “channels for organising a data transmission network (SD-Wan data network modernisation).”
- In collaboration with the Digitalisation Department of the Turkestan Region State Institution, 54 MERGEN violation recording systems were installed as part of an initiative.
- Development of new digital products was commenced using the artificial intelligence (AI) and big data analytics technologies.
- The new portal cloud.ttc. kz was launched and the product displays were updated.
- The TTC TV mobile app for Android, iOS, and Smart TV for smartphones has been updated, and the Qazaqsha and Qazaqfilm online cinemas have been added.
- Astana has implemented operational and technological communications (OTC) for train traffic control (RTSU).
- A partnership has been formed with TATA Communications, a TIER 1 operator.
- Nine metro stations in Almaty have been connected to Kcell JSC services.
- InQbox 191, an omnichannel contact centre platform, has been introduced into commercial operation.
- The technical accounting system, Network Asset Management (NAM), has commenced development.
- A long-term contract has been signed with NIT JSC and Yandex.Cloud.
